Circle of Poison

Dear Representative Ocasio-Cortez,

Do you know that the U.S. allows companies to continue to manufacture and export dangerous chemicals even after they have been banned for domestic use for the harm that they cause both people and the planet?

This was the subject of our most recent documentary film, Circle of Poison, and a subject that I hope you will consider as part of the Green New Deal. 

Congress has the power to stop the circle of poison.  Now that we have shown our film at film festivals across the world and broadcasted it on Al Jazeera, we are hoping to use it to incite action. 

I am attaching the results from a recent FOIA request that I submitted that shows that many banned, restricted, and unregistered pesticides continue to be manufactured in the United States for export only. 

I have also included 10 DVD copies of our film for you and your staff but please let me know if you’d like a link to stream it.

I hope that this is something that you will consider addressing in Congress.
